Co-Designing a solution with Zambian stakeholders that can recover waste heat across multiple locations and scales, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and benefit society.

Implementing waste heat recovery technically through a prototype system, and commercially by embedding heat recovery into Zambian businesses.

Project Aims

The main aim of Reheatz is to improve the economic and environmental sustainability of food production in Zambia by identifying opportunities to recycle waste heat in wastewater. We believe this will assist in both addressing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 to combat climate change and improve the sustainability of food production in Zambia.

To achieve these aims, we are assessing the feasibility of wastewater heat recovery in a diverse range of Zambian industry sectors and of the potential impacts of this implementation. Working with interested parties, we are collaborating to identify pathways towards the broader use of this technology.
